Vision and Mission

Vision:  The CFHE is a top national source of innovative research, education, and extension in the area of Hispanic Entrepreneurship, as well as a catalyst of economic development and change.  The CFHE delivers to Hispanic businesses key information and support to thrive in the El Paso del Norte Region, and assists them in having the best opportunities for starting, sustaining, and growing their enterprises through networking, education, and training.

Mission:  The Center for Hispanic Entrepreneurship is an innovative research entity that generates, collects, analyzes, and disseminates information on Hispanic Entrepreneurship to promote economic development in the El Paso del Norte Region.  The CFHE provides education on a broad range of disciplines and support to the business community of professionals, students, and scholars, and provides key networking opportunities as they come together to fulfill their goals. 

Research

The Center for Hispanic Entrepreneurship has as a primary focus to research Hispanic owned businesses of all industries and stages of development in the El Paso del Norte Region.  The CFHE has recently begun a new database project of Hispanic Entrepreneurship.  This database will help to shed light on Hispanic owned businesses by identifying the needs of these entities and to gain a clear understanding of the current challenges they face.  This will enable the CFHE to create value for the community and provide key business building tools necessary for growth.

Education

The second focus of the Center for Hispanic Entrepreneurship is to share the research available to the business community of entrepreneurs, professionals, scholars and students.  Dissemination of this research and any knowledge and expertise acquired through members of the center are to be accomplished via courses, workshops, conferences, and presentations. 

Extension

The third focus of the Center for Hispanic Entrepreneurship is to be an active force in the business community.  Providing information during events and presentations, networking, and collaborating are very important for its growth and its ability to enhance opportunities for others.
