Marketing and Management Department
Welcome to the Department of Marketing and Management Web site. We are very
excited that you are visiting us. Our department offers courses in support of
the BBA with majors in Marketing and Management (General Management
concentration and Human Resource Management concentration) and the MBA and PhD
programs.
Our majors are designed to examine people as either employees or consumers,
to increase our understanding of how companies operate, and to provide new and
creative ways to enhance performance. Marketing and management majors acquire
the knowledge and skills that are necessary to improve their own lives and those
of their places of employment.
A student's life would not be complete without full participation in activities
that allow both personal and professional growth. For this reason, several
student organizations are directly supported by our department including the
Collegiate Entrepreneur's Organization (CEO), the American Marketing Association
(AMA), the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and the Hispanic
Business Student Association (HBSA), among others. Students can enhance their
educational experience at UTEP with active membership in one or more student
