Marketing and Management Department
Welcome to the Department of Marketing and Management (M&M) Web site! Our department offers courses in
support of the BBA program with majors in Marketing and Management (General Management concentration and
Human Resource Management concentration). Additionally, our talented faculty members fully participate in
all graduate programs offered by the College of Business Administration (MBA and Ph.D.).
Our majors are designed to (a) examine people as either employees or consumers, (b) increase our understanding
of how companies operate and thrive in the global marketplace, and (c) provide new and creative ways to
enhance business performance. Marketing and management majors acquire the knowledge and skills that are
necessary to improve their own lives and those of their places of employment.
Academic life would not be complete without full participation in activities that allow both personal and
professional growth. For this reason, several student organizations are directly supported by our department
including the American Marketing Association (AMA), the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and
the Collegiate Entrepreneur's Organization (CEO). Students can enhance their educational experience at UTEP
with active membership in one or more student organizations. If you have further questions or would like more
information, please contact me.
