Marketing Battle of I-10

UTEP Business students waged a fierce marketing battle with students from I-10 rival NMSU in a competition sponsored by First Light Federal Credit Union. Senior-level advertising classes competed head-to-head to create a multi-media marketing campaign with a mock budget of $250,000 to attract new college-aged members to the credit union.
Dr. Grambling led the UTEP team. "They're learning by doing," Grambling told the El Paso Times. "They're taking the skills they're learning in class and applying them to the real world."
Kim Aguilera, Paul Celaya, James Riley and Daniel Valenzuela each won an all-expense paid trip to an American Marketing Association seminar of their choice and a new iPhone. The College of Business Administration also won a $15,000 donation from FirstLight FCU.
