Dr. Faith Xie Wins Best Paper Award in Investments

Dr. Feixue “Faith” Xie, Assistant Professor of Finance at UTEP Business, has received the Best Paper Award in Investments for her paper titled Abnormal Investment, Overinvestment and Stock Returns presented at the Financial Management Association's annual meeting.
This award is given to the investments paper considered, by a panel of scholars, to be the best presented at the Financial Management Association's annual meeting. The award is sponsored by the American Association of Individual Investors.
Her research interests include corporate investment, firm valuation, asset pricing, emerging markets and privatization.
Faith has published in journals including The Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis and Financial Analysts Journal. Her teaching experience includes courses in Corporate Finance, Investment, International Finance, and Financial Economics.
