Pennsylvania Ave. vs. All Streets: The Causes and Consequences of Federal Government Debt
With the November elections approaching, the size of the federal government debt is a hot button issue that will be discussed extensively by economists and politicians on both ends of the political spectrum. College of Business Administration professors, Dr. Timothy Roth and Dr. Oscar Varela, will weigh in on the causes and consequences of the federal debt at their Brown Bag Forum titled “Pennsylvania Ave. vs. All Streets” on October 20, 2010 at noon in BUSN 309.
Dr. Timothy Roth is the Economics Department Chair and a Professor of Economics. He served as a consultant on President Ronald Reagan’s Cabinet Council on Economic Policy. He recently published Politicians, Economists and the Supreme Court at Work: The Founders Betrayed (purchase here).
Dr. Oscar Varela is a Professor of Finance and recently published International Finance in the World.
The forum is open to the public. For more information, please contact Stephanie Gerry at firstname.lastname@example.org.
