Biography
Dr. Esperanza Huerta joins the Accounting department as an assistant professor. Professor Huerta earned her Ph d and MS in Management of Information Systems from Claremont Graduate University. She holds two bachelor degrees, in accounting and in computer engineering. Before joining UTEP she worked for the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico. Her research interest is on business technology and performance measures. She has conducted cross-cultural studies on the use of Information technology. She serves on the Editorial board of the Information and Management Journal. She is a member of the American Accounting Association and the Association for Information Systems.
