Dr. Zuobao Wei is a Professor of Finance in the Economics and Finance Department at UTEP. He also holds the Gary R. and Leanne B. Hedrick Professorship in Western Hemispheric Trade Research. He earned his Ph.D. in Finance and Master's degree in Economics from the University of New Orleans. He also earned a Master of Engineering Management (MEM) degree from Brigham Young University and a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from Guangxi University in China. Dr. Wei teaches and conducts research in the areas of Corporate Finance, Investment Analysis, and International Finance. He has published in highly regarded finance journals, such as Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, Financial Management, among others. He won the Best Paper Award at the 2000 Global Finance Conference. Dr. Wei has also won a number of research and teaching excellence awards at UTEP.
